VIVA TEENAGERSINTOKYO!!!

Ordinarily, I like to write my own music reviews for bands I discover (bands that actually awaken something from within, that is), but this time, someone else said it MUCH better than I ever could have. Read Matt James’ (of Pop Matters) review of Teenagersintokyo’s debut Sacrifice (released 5/24/10), and you’ll see what I mean. He couldn’t have referenced more personal favorites of mine in one review (“A Forest” by The Cure, The Rum Runner circa 1981, Ladyhawke, “Planet Earth“-era Duran Duran, Wire, Blondie, “Rock Lobster”, “Running Up that Hill” by Kate Bush, “Bette Davis Eyes” by Kim Carnes, etc., etc., etc.).

Of the tracks I’ve heard, I think “Peter Pan” (featured above) is my favorite (please note: the blonde girl’s overall look in this video reminds of me of Andy Taylor from Duran Duran in the “Girls on Film” video).
